help: sending huge files

I have series of files that needs to be shared with friends. They're more than 1G and I'm looking for a more accessible way to share those files. Can someone help me find reliable software/means to upload different files for free?

You can send large file at Send This File with a free registration but the person at the other end has to download it within three days because Send This File does an auto delete to free members. I use it a lot and it works perfect. The limit though is 2GB. If you pay for the membership, you might also get more disk space to upload to as well as manage to keep your upload there as long as you want. The free membership is good enough, anyway, even to upload a home movie to.
