    Framerate problems??

    Hi,

I am very new at this and have been reading the threads looking for help as I'm a bit lost. I'm using DVD Slideshow GUI to put video clips into a slide show but when I try and import a clip I keep getting a message saying 'cannot load file- video framerate doesn't match'

I've tried lots of different files but not getting anywhere. Any help would be appriciated.

    Thanks

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Where are your clips coming from?

NTSC DVDs are either 23.976(24)fps or 29.97(30)fps. PAL DVDs are 25fps.
NTSC DVDs can sometimes cause a problem if they're both 24 and 30 fps alternating... this happens a lot and can cause errors on programs that don't know how to handle it.

Chances are DVD Slideshow GUI or whatever is trying to make your slideshow at one framerate, say 25fps PAL, and your DVD is NTSC, since it's unable to convert it it gives that error. See if there's a framerate option in the program you're using.
