    new to it!

i have some vid clips that i want to make available on the net.
they are .avi files around 2.5mb.
    i have uploaded one at www.lowriderforums.com/video/craig.avi .

I [and the members i am putting it on to view] am in UK and most have dial in under 56k access.

what should i do to get reasonable upload and download speeds.
we have windows media, real player and quicktime........

    The possbilities are endless :

    1) split file using HJSPLIT etc...or WinRAR
    2) zip file/ use WinRAR
    3) reduce size--- use divx, reduce framerate, resolution, audio bitrate, etc...

What file size are you aiming for?
