    Noob ? about dvd playback on tv and not pc

    Hi, I'm using xilisoft to burn an .avi file to dvd. This is my first dvd burn and not even sure which forum to post this question in...

    But how do I burn the dvd to play on the computer as well? Bc my finished dvd folder is "empty", does not autostart, and only plays in my dvd player for the tv.

    Again, I apologize if this is in the wrong forum.

    Any advice is appreciated, thanks

          I have VLC media player, Windows Media player or Quicktime...

          When nothing autostarts then i click on the dvd drive and there are no files I can see on the dvd at all...
