How to generate a date-time code subtitle from digital cam video automaticly

I can generate a time-code file manually by getting the file properties with date, starting time, total time. Use MS excel to calculate the actual time of that video and save to *.srt or *.sub format. That subtitles file can via Vob sub to display the time of the video, also can use TMPG app. to embed the time in it.

But this method are so annoying to make only a single file, because I have a lot of digital cam video

Any suggestion that how can use simply way to generate a timecode file from digital cam video??

      Thank you for your reply

BUT, dvdate can only get timecode from original DV captured avi, my digital cameria video, that always set to 0.00.00 to start, not the actual time of my video
