filming flying insects at night?

I am a biologist and need to document some insect behaviors in the field at night. Unfortunately, these are flying insects and I can not use a light source as it might influence their behaviors.

So can anyone recommend a camera and/or set-up that could do this... preferably for under $1000? Image quality doesn't matter much as long as I can detect the presence of flying insects in my study plot.
