I am using the Pyro A/V Link (API-550 Rev. C) to convert analog to digital video. I have been using it for about two years now with Windows XP. A few months ago I started having some problems, and I think it something to do with this hardware (or maybe a Windows update). Sometimes when a scene changes or some frames are dropped, the A/B fields of the interlaced video get swapped, causing the picture to look blurred. If I don't want to go back and record the whole video over again, I have to use software like VirtualDub or Avidemux to swap the fields back.
Does anyone have experience with the issue and is there a solution?
