Hi
I am making a theater piece that requires me to figure out how to have at least eight video screens playing full screen video (not necessarily HD), all tightly synced to the same sound track.
I'm wondering what sort of system I should consider for such a task.
for instance, I see the current Mac Pros can have 4 video cards for 8 screens, but I wonder if (and how) I could play back separate video on each. Is the machine fast enough? the HDD fast enough? reliable?
Or is there some other more suitable solution?
And once I figure out what hardware I need I also wonder software will be suited to this need?
will a single computer be able to handle this?
etc?
(I am usually an audio production professional, and quite a few years back I ran a TV studio (albeit analog), so I have some relevant experience.)
huge thanks in advance!
cheers
matt
