    capturing video

How do I capture a video from youtube and convert it to a file that can be written to a DVD (avi or mpg file)?

There are ample websites that enable that.
Just search google for "download from youtube".

If you are using FireFox web browser then there is an excellent plugin titled "DownloadHelper". It downloads youtube in either .FLV or .MP4 formats.
From there you can choose any converter to do the job.

If u need a good converter I'll recommend tunebite, it does a good job especially when it comes with conversion. I use it for a long time and always updated it to the newest version and I saw that now it also has a free version which gives you the possibility to have full access to conversion, drm removal and even to downloading videos from youtube and other music sites.
Unfortunately, the version I'm using it's not free, as it has a new feature, it can now record movies from streaming online movies sites and I wanted to have access at this feature also.
But just for converting, I recommend the free one.
Hope that helps you a little bit...
