It's probably the fact that the camera is not Windows 7 compatible because the camera is a little on the old side.

u sure ur cable is in working condition? i have pretty old mini dvcam and it works fine with 7. only problem i have is now some reason the builtin capture program doesnt come up when i plug in camera. but video studio works fine.Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!
