    HDMI Serving Multiple Devices

I have a situation where my LCD TV is about 25 feet from the CATV converter box. I have HDMI cable running through the wall from the converter box to the TV. I want to add a BluRay disc player to the system and locate it at the CATV converter box location.

Is there something that I can use to send the CATV signal to the TV when needed and then switch it to send the disc player info to the TV? In other words, I want to use the single in-the-wall HDMI cable to work with several devices.

I'm trying to envision how this might work and think maybe it will wire up this way?????:
    1. CATV coax feed: to CATV converter box
    2. CATV converter box: HDMI cable out to a switch
    3. BluRay: HDMI out to a switch
    4. HDMI Switch: HDMI cable out (and through the wall) to the TV
Make sense? If so, what can I use to accomplish this?

    Thanks,

With something that cheap the quality of the picture may not be that good.

HDMI is digital so you'll either get 100% picture quality, or you'll get nothing. $40 for a HDMI switch is actually about right, not the cheapest and not the most expensive.

With HDMI cables/switches, as long as it works, it's good enough.

I was thinking about that it was digital. So yes since it is a digital signal it does not have to be a real expensive switch.

            Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback....I've got a switch on the way from Newegg at this time. Hoping it works! And I'm sure it will.
