So I have been broadcasting with VLC on our IPTV system.
We have been transcoding to .ts to keep the load down across the server.
I moved into HD recently, and am producing .m2t files about 3 times as big as their coparts in SD.
I realize when I transcode these to .ts, they end up about the same size as a SD version.
How can I keep the high def quality while still using a transport stream? I'm losing so much on our HD broadcast, ... or lack there of HD broadcast.
Ideas for HD streaming files?
Thanks
