SmartRipper help???

Hello all! Is anyone aware of how to make the VOB file size smaller than the original that is on the DVD itself?

For example:

I need to transfer ripped DVDs to a laptop, which does NOT have a DVD player, otherwise I would just rip the DVD and burn a DVD-R. Some files are .99 GB each after ripping, I need to be able to split those big files in half, or atleast be able to get them on a CD-R so I can then transport them to a laptop, and watch the DVD on the hard drive of the laptop. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Also, I forgtot to mention my settings

My settings are:

Rip mode-every vob file
file splitting-max file size
I set the max file size to 625MB
vob file access- aspi (1GB files)


Am I missing something here??
