jpg image to view in DVD player

I have a photo album of around 400+ pictures for around 590MB.
I wish to burn it in a CD-R discs and view by friends & relatives' DVD players.
I am using Nero Burning ROM 8.
What kind of CD format should I select for burning?

I would use Imgburn "build mode" to create an .iso image file. While doing that it should suggest the correct file systems for the disc. Then burn the .iso image using Imgburn. Most DVD players have a built in "slide show" mode to show the jpgs.

I suggest making the image file first because although Imgburn can make an image on the fly and burn it, if there are several hundred files you could get buffer under-run even with burn proof. Better to make the image as a separate step with that many small files.

Is there any DVD-R format simple to play in DVD players? (use the forward & backward buttons of the DVD player?

Usually the forward backward buttons change pictures. Also many have an auto mode where you can set to change every 2 or 5 or 30 seconds. All my Philips players have it. For Imgburn guides and help see the subforum:

The Imgburn program can create an .iso image from a folder full of files. See the forum for guides. I'm not going to regurgitate what's already there.
