avi or mpeg for dvd (from Sky+)
My Sky+ box is full, so I want to create some dvd's using my PC.
What format should I save the file to my computer in?
I have connected my Sky+ to my PC with a Pinnacle 510-USB box.
The import options in Studio HD (v14) are:
I intend to burn a dvd - since the AVI is clearer & bigger file size, will this need to be converted to mpeg when I create the dvd, or should I simply save as mpeg in the 1st place to save time.
Does any of this impact clarity of the output or will I not notice anything?

- DV (framesize: 720x576) which save as "avi"
- MPEG-2 (framesize: 720x576 & datarate 6 Mbit) which save as "mpg"
