svcd help please!!!!!!!!!

i have a goodmans gdvd 125.....it plays vcd and dvd fine,but not svcd.
when i play svcd the sound goes off for a split second every 5-10 seconds......very annoying !

anyone out there know how to fix this ??
can it b the settings on player need changing ??

If the SVCD has an audio sampling frequency of 48,000Hz, try redoing it at 44,100Hz...

how do i change the audio,do i need to re-encode it?

can i do it with tmpgenc m-peg splitter?
