    no valid cd

I get this "no valid cd" when i put my cd-r in my dvd player.
I downloaded an avi, converted it to ntsc mpg with TMPGEnc, then used nero to burn the VCD.

Does this mean my DVD player is not CD-R or VCD compatable, or did i mess up some where?

thanks in advance for any input-

    product website

check your product serial number at the support page for you player. i believe that is the only way to find out.
i'm assuming if it does not play it when loaded then yes it is not supported, but it might be something else

      might be disc?

some dvd players only recognise certain types of disc!
i had a hitachi player that would only play datasafe discs.

best thing to do is to get a film that works on a friends player and copy it onto different types of disc......see which work.

or check on forum which discs work with your player.
