    DivX encoding resolution and kbs...

Ok, I've read some of the guides, made my own DivX, feel pretty good about it. My only question is what are good sizes and bits per frame.
I went with 640 by like 3 something (whatever it cropped to be) and 1650 kbs..Looks pretty good. What do most people use? The majority of the ones I have seen are usualy under 640 x 480, say 352 or 400 x whatever....
So, what setting so most people use? And why? wouldnt 640 x (crop size) make for a better picture when watched at full screen then something smaller? Why not use a ful 720 x (cs), for maximum beauty? Or is it related to file size...Any help on resolution and kbs would be appreciated!
    Thanks!
