overburning an 800MB mpg on a 80 min cd????

ok i had this mpg it was spilt it 2 parts, one was 620MB and one was 210MB. I burned these mpgs on a vcd with nero. Together they were both under 80 minutes so i tried to burn them on one cd, so far i havent seen any errors on the vcd. I watched it on my standalone dvd player and it just had minor glithces like most of my vcds on 2 cds do. I was just wondering if anyone knows of any problems that can occur by doing this or if i should keep tryin to squeeze my vcds on one cd. thanks in advance for your help.

As I, and many others, have posted here many times, MPEG1-VCDs are based on time (just like audio CDs) and NOT megabyte size. You should be able to burn an 80 minute video in VCD format to an 80 minute CD-R - there is NO overburning involved...

I have the same question about this. I was trying to burn many VCD files at a total of 797MB on an 80 minutes CD using NERO and it would not take it. I read some articles that you can fit 800MB on an 80 minutes CD and my did not work. I also try the overburn and NERO just won't take it. What did I do wrong?
