So here's my situation, I upgraded my girlfriends PC to windows XP Pro, and as i've read everywhere there is no fix for mpg4v3, I even tried the old .dll swap that would work for WMPlayer 6.4 but that file doesn't even exist in XP. As you all prolly know, all i get is sound, but no video.
What I'd like to do is convert these files from mpg4v3 to any other format that would work, and not degrade picture quality or increase size substantially. .asf .wmv .mpg or divx avi, whatever would be best. What program do i need and how do i use it?
