dvd to ipod video help!

hi i just registered here hoping someone can help me..
i bought the 60 gb ipod video a few weeks ago. i wanted to put some movies on it..so i downloaded the DVD Shrink 3.2. I encoded, encrypted, re-authored, backup-ed..pretty much everything i was supposed to do, i did. then it said to install Nero..so i did the trail version of that. now the movie works and it plays on my desktop, but everytime i try to move it into iTunes into my ipod folder, it doesn't show it's there. i also tried importing the video into iTunes, but the folder is blank. i have no idea what to try next..if you could help me that'd be great!! thanks!

So you used recode to re-encode to mp4? The iPod has limits on what it can play such as SP MPEG-4 only and baseline AVC. There are also limits on resolutions, etc.
