Sounds fine on PC, no audio on mediaserver

I'm still having a bunch of problems with audio sync using my D-Link DSM-320 media player. I have tried LT Colombo's approach in post http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=59592, which works fine for the audio on my pc, and allows me to burn it to dvd with no sync problems. However, if I try to play the outputted avi file on my media player, the sound is just white noise.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
