image sequence question

hello everyone im new in this field, sorry for my bad english beforehand jejeje well my question is this: im trying to make a movie from a jpg's image sequence but with every codec and program i tried the final movie resolution looks not as it looks in the jpg's, its like the image goes blurred sometimes and with no good resolution neither, i've tried using premiere and videomach to make my movies and tried a lot of configurations randomly not knowing what is the best (ive used the predefined config most of the tests), so i dont know first, if jpg's are a good format to render or if it is the codec, so do i need to render in another format? if it is like that what format would be, second then after having my image sequence what software do u recommend me to use and what configuration do u recomend (if i need to run this movie in an interactive media dvd, so i would like to see nice resolution image on my pc) thx everyone for ur answers beforehand i would be very very thankfull.
