first of all im new here so id like to say hi to everyone 
like i said i have a dmr ez47v panasonic combo. i bought it for only one purpose make copy of my old original vhs tapes.the problem is that most of them 80% are copy protected . when i use the function vhs to dvd it says u cannot copy copyrighted vhs . RFBurns in a 2006 topics says its possible to copy them with a combo unit but im not sure to fully understanding what he said If the combo unit is set to "DUB" mode, it will not send the signals via the jacks on the back, but rather internally send signals and thus kick in the copy guard management system built into the firmware of the unit itself.
What is Dub mode?
