Bought Disk Skip when Played on Laptop

I have had my laptop for almost three years and it has played DVD's flawlessly til I tried a few nights ago and it like half skips. It plays it back but the audio is choppy and the video only skips every 5 second or so and not big skips. I hope I am explaining this right. I've tried a few different DVD's and they all do it. I've tried Windows Media Player, Nero, and VLC and they all do it. Ideas?

I have done some searching and read that it could be the DMA and so I checked mine and I have the put a screen shot of what my setting on for it now. I can't adjust the current transfer mode and so that might be it. How would I change that or is there anything else it might be?
