The purpose of this subforum is that problems, questions, workarounds regarding Nero Recode 2 will be discussed and solved at this location. Thanks to admin and Digital Video Forums for the hosting of this new subforum. I hope that we all can make this new forum to a great place for Nero Recode 2.
What is Nero Recode 2?
With Nero Recode 2 you can make backups of unprotected DVDs and also convert DVD movies to Nero Digital using the MPEG-4 audio and video encoder.
The program is included in the Nero packages.
If you don't have the program you can download and install a 30 days fully functional demo version of Nero 9.
It have features to remove unwanted materials such as subtitles or bonus material from any DVD, and recoding (or compressing) and burning DVD-Video titles that would normally be too large to fit onto a recordable or rewritable 4.7 GB DVD discs. Import complete contents of non-copy protected DVD-Video discs or DVD-Video file structures from your hard drive.

Just some guidelines:
- Try and give your threads a descriptive subject.
Please avoid "Help!!!!", "Newbie with a problem" and the like.
- In your post, try and give as much details about your system and the problem you're experiencing.
- The disc your having problem with, if it's relevant.
- The exact process you're following and mode you're using ("Full-Disk", "Re-author").
- If you have previously made a successful backup.
- Your operating system.
- Your DVD drive(s).
- The installed Nero version that you're using.
- The media type and brand you're burning to, and the speed at which you're burning.
- Your hard-drive(s) capacity.
- Your graphic card.
- The amount of RAM installed.
- Other softwares that might be creating conflicts: Roxio, Pinacle...
- If the problem encountered is while burning with Nero, please include its log file (normally situated in "C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\NeroHistory.log". Make sure to remove the Nero serial number before posting the log.
Basically, anything that might help others help you.
- If you are a "helper", be nice and patient. We have all been a beginner.
- If you were helped, or managed to solve a problem by some means, please report back. Don't just disappear! There might be another person with the same problem that you had - so he/she would be very interested if the solution worked out.
- Nero Recode 2 is to be used for backing up personally owned copies of DVD media, any other use violates international copyright laws, any questions regarding copying rentals or anything that intones the media is not owned by that person will not be answered and the thread will be locked.
