    How does recode help??

I tried a recode with nero recode and burned it to disc with dvd decrypter and the dvd player gave the error message that it did not recognize the disk. It was a image and not a video_ts. I can't understand what good its going to do like that. I'm windows xp sp2..dvd player is apex ad 1650 progressive scan.

    Thanks in advance

    1. Can your player play DVDs burned with Nero?
    2. Can you play the burned DVD in your PC?
    3. Why use DVD Decrypter for burning? You have Nero...
    4. Try to use DVDInfoPro to see if the burning is ok. You find a description in this FAQ: http://forum.digital-digest.com/show...threadid=44912

After the burning the nrg file will be split into VOB, BUP and IFO files as a normal DVD.

If you want to play the nrg file from your PC - Windows media player will do it.

Are you using the latest version 3.5.2.0 of DVD Decrypter?

So on your burned disc is only a nrg file present?

If you have your outputed nrg file from Recode on your hard disk:

Right click on it and select open with DVD Decrypter. You are then entering the burning stage. Burn that compilation and you will end up with a playable DVD.

it did not make a nrg file...it made a nero cinema digital file which will not open with decrypter. I was able to open with nero vision but it would have to convert it at almost 4 hours I can not see a way to save as nrg file. by the way did i mention that i am using a avi file?

Is your goal to output a mgp4 file or a DVD that can be played in most DVDs? DVD Decrypter can't burn mp4 files.

Yessssss...nero Recode 2 is what i tried using the option...Recode dvds and videos to nero digital ...and i was able to make a nero digital cinema file...it will play in nero showtime but not on my home dvd...it says it is a MPEG Movie advanced video.

                    Have i invented something??

Use NeroVision Express 3 instead if you want to make a DVD compliant compilation.
