Where is MPEG4 tools

I have downloaded what I though was all of Nero 6.6 that I needed to have the Recode functions complete with the MPEG4 codec. I downloaded the complete package one from Nero along with package 2 which is suppsosed to have the Recode module with MPEG4 codec included as far as I can see. I have module 1 up & running & have had a few updates. Module 2 with the Recode module gives me problem however. I can open Recode & use it ok but I have only 3 options on the opening page. No mention is made of the MPEG4 functions. I can't see it listed as an optional extra anywhere one the Nero site. Is it included or not? IF not how does one get it?

I see what you mean, i click on "convert dvd to nero digital" , it is supposed to open with nero recode, but goes back to startsmart. Ive hunted the entire nero website and nerodigital.com but cant find a download. Plenty of sceenshots of it in action though.According to nerodigital.com it is intergrated into nerovision express 3. There is a program called ratdvd that ive been using to seriously compress movies, and its quality is pretty good. Might want to check it out www.ratdvd.dk.

Could it depend on the serial number?

Do you have the full license of Nero?

I have the full nero 6.6.0.14 ultra edition. It even gives the option on autoplay when you insert a dvd, but nothing happens.

The features that appear within Nero ARE related to the serial number. You'd need the Nero Digital Key in order to "Unlock" everything within that suite. Same goes for Ultra.

This is how they differentiate features between full/OEM/Trial and use the same set of cabinets.

If this really is the case then you would expect it to be mentioned somewhere on the Nero web site,yet as you can see many people are all in the same boat that they don't know just what is going on & how to get the program recoding as it's supposed to. If I really don't have the full version & have to purchase some other module etc. then surely it should say so somwhere so that we can get the software working as it was intended to.

Youre right. I cant find a plugin, free or otherwise. No information how to unlock digital, free or otherwise. Im not that bothered, but if ive paid for it, id like to have it.

Nero changed the detection of the serial number - just to get away with wellknowed cracked serial numbers.

Some real serialnumbers did have problems to use the full versions after this change. Those persons contacted Nero and got a replace serial number. I suggest you do the same.
