There are much easier ways to do this, without going through the convoluted paths of IfoEdit.
PgcEdit for example. http://home.tiscali.be/debie.roland/pgcedit/third_party/2cool/subtitles/subtitles_on_default_pgcedit.htm
This thread talks about subbies, but, of course, is just as relevant for audio streams.
Perhaps you'd like to consider whether this might be easier for users.
