Changing write speed to 2x

When burning a DVD with Recode or even with the burn with nero option in Shrink, I do not have an option to burn slower than 4x. Even if Igo to burn a data DVD in Nero Express 4x is the lowest speed offered. I have all the latest updates for nero. If I put in a rewriteable DVD that can only be written at 2x it will automatically select 2x and write at that speed so I know it can do it. Why can't I manually select that speed?

Could depend on the media your are using. If there is no write description for 2X that could be the reason.
