    Problems with Recode2

I have the latest versions of Recode2 and Burning rom. I use dvdfab decrypter to rip the dvds to HD then I use recode2 to do any authoring and compression and then burn to dvd. When I used Decrypter and Shrink w/nero I don't recall ever having this problem, but I was running into movies I couldn't backup so I switched to dvdfab and recode2 since I had Nero Ultra already.

    My problem(s):
First problem is that I'm noticing audio sync issues, my dvd player lets me change audio delay to work around this but when I take my movies to friends/familys houses their dvd players don't have the feature to set audio delay. The audio sync issue isn't happening on all movies that I backup, maybe 60% of them do, and no the originals do not have audio sync problems.

Second problem is that if I do a full backup with menus I have about a 70-80% chance the menus will be broken. Where like for instance if you click on play movie it will actually play the special features. Or if you click to go to the menu to select languages/audio you can't actually select anything in there even though it does take you to that menu.

Third problem is that some of the backups are stuttering/skipping/freezing randomly and probably of my last 30 backups 5 cause a hard lock after about 15 mins in some standalone dvd players.

I'm just looking for suggestions or if other people are having similar problems. Like I said I never had any of these issue with decrypter and shrink and would love to use them again but I was running into a lot of movies that I couldn't backup with those but that I could with dvdfab and recode2. I have also tried doing the backups both with and without antivirus running in the background and with minimal processes running, this didn't seem to make any difference. Yes my systems are overclocked, but I have run them at stock speeds and even underclocked just to see if that would correct any of my issues but it did not.

My system specs that I use for backups:
(Keep in mind all drivers, bioses and firmwares are always up to date)
    System1
    A64 3800+ X2 @ 2.7ghz
    1gig1 pc4000
    2x 160gig Samsung P80 Sata in Raid 0
    7800gt
    Benq 1640 f/w BSLB

    System2
    A64 3000+ @ 2.4ghz
    1gig pc3200
    160gig Seagate 7200.7 PATA
    6800gt
    LG 4163 f/w A105

    Thanks

Longshot, but it could be that DVD Decrypter couldn't read your DVDs without I/O errors (due to scratches, dirt) but DVDFab will allow the disc to be read.

DVDFab Decrypter will replace unreadable sectors with fake DVD-Video Data, which is better to simply replace them with dummy sectors.

This could be the reason for your problems with sync.

...my standalone DVD Player aswell as PowerDVD shuts down/freezes when choosing a title from the menue.
I'm using latest nero Recode and latest PowerDVD.
      DVDDecrypter to rip.

When using DVDD + Shrink everything works fine.

      Thanks for your help!
