    Quick Nero question

Hi. I'm pretty sure this question could be better placed in a heading but I couldn't find a spot, so I'll make it quick. It deals with the Nero audio wave editor and I realize it may be a dumb question.

Why, when you open that editor, and load one audio file, do you get a split screen top and bottome with two wave patterns? whats the point / difference between them?

    thanks a lot,

I don't remember a split screen but you do get two waveforms, one each for right and left channel. And if the source is 5.1 you will see 6 waveforms.

I see, but if I merely want to crop out part of the beginning and end of a song and I do it on one wave, does that mean that the other channel will play the rest of the song?

      thanks

No, highlight both channels and crop. Alternately, you could convert to mono and not have to worry about those pesky stereo tracks. Quality is overrated anyway.

        Later.
