until now i was only testing nero recode because of its great mp4 codec, which really kicks ass. so to fully test it i tried to encode a whole movie (source was vob) with 2 audio-streams and 1 sub-stream.
when i encoded only parts of the movie everything worked fine, but as soon as i tried to process the whole movie at once (about 2:30 hours), recode 2 always crashed shortly before the end (recode caused an error and must be closed bla bla) and the created mp4-file was corrupt. i tried it twice and it crashed both times.
is this a common problem? i already read about this in another forum, a guy had the same problems.
how can i avoid this? i cannot always wait 7 hours for encoding to see at the end that recode crashed again
