Why no Recode

i love recode2, great pic quality but, i don't like to use it because to have it, one has to also install a bunch a programs i don't wish to have. is there a way around this? can i somehow install just recode2?

I know when you install Nero it gives you an option to do a typical install or a custom install I have always used typical so I am not sure how much it will let you keep out when you do a custom install

custom install! i have not seen anything like that whenever i install. maybe if you have time, find out for yourself and tell me how. thanks for your help,BR7.

i'm not sure whether nero 6.6 has a custom install (can't remember), but nero 7 definitely does...

Just install the Nero Suite. The other programs are nice too, like the DVD burning part, and Nero Wave Editor - the best wave editor on the planet!

so, similarly, is there a way to update my nero recode ONLY? I just bought (like 2 days ago) Nero 7 and it came with Recode 2.2.7.2 and I've had some audio sync problems with the DVD to Nero Digital..... Thought I'd start with an update before complaining about it too much....
