    Nero Burning problem

My burn failed at the lead in process and it gave me an error saying power calibration error. Whats that mean?

    Hi Graffix,

The "Power Calibration" error with Nero is commonly caused a dirty laser in DVD burners. Please try to update your burner firmware first, use a good media like TaiyoYuden or Verbatim, and try to clean the laser lens with a commercial laser cleaner which you can get easily at any computer store. If everything doesn't work correctly and the "Power Calibration" error still comes again, you may need a newer burner

    Regards

This is a brand new NEC ND 3550A out of the box. I am also using Verbatim DVD+R's.

Well, you may have a new but bad unit. Please return or exchange for another one
