        pretty big RW, dual layer?

        dell laptop?

I would think there's also a firmware media issue, did you remove incd and
use shrink to read the file?

I have a 6650A that came with my Dell Inspiron laptop, still has the stock firmware 102C.

downloaded the NEC reverse ATA package, booted into pure DOS and ran the 6650boot batch file.

Hi. You should NOT use the FW Reverse ATA. It is ONLY intended to use if your computer doesn't reckognize your 6650 as Secondary Master.

all quite interesting but very complicated, maybe dell will address this with new firmware
