not enough space on hard drive

    Hello all,

I have nero 7 and am trying to burn 3 avi files to my hard drive the 3 files are a total of 2.5 gig
I open them all in nero make your own dvd and it encodes them to 6 gig.. Ok I hit the make it fit button and it shrinks it all to 4 gig why does it expand the file so much ? just a question anyhow, I go on to burn the project to my hard drive
it says Error not enough space for temp file 666mb free needs 4gig :/ I have 36 gig free on this drive but I am looking at the 666mb kinda funny so I try my other drives ....... same error message 666mb free... is this some kind of virus
also this is only in the video I cant but data dvds no trouble but the video it just doesnt like me to do

thanks for the help in advance

    winxp sp2
    1.8 amd 640mb ram

    Empty your recycle bin.

    Do you have Norton installed?

I have my recycle bin disabled it is saying I have 666mb free on a drive that has 36gig free I have McAfree but it is disabled and I am running avast not disabled it is the 666mb free that is so wierd it says that for all my drives and the drive emulator

      here is my real troubles
I tried to make a dvd once make my own menu and animated chapters it took 12 hours to burn and when i put it in the dvd player it seemed to work but I couldn't select the menu icons to play the vids.. I have no trouble making a dvd copy my troubles are all in trying to make a compilation dvd with different formats avi,mpg ect. so I figured I would burn it to th HD first then try to convert it to a workable dvd

Ah HA!!! it was my settings for nero my temp dir was on my smaller drive so even though I was saving the video to a 36gig drive it was temp storing it on my root drive which has oddly enough 668mb so it wasnt the devil after all
