NR2: Wrong length for VOB files.

    Hallo all!

I've noticed something odd in Nero Recode 2. When I import a VOB file (created using DVD Decrypter) to the list, it often has the wrong length for the movie listed. This is for converting a DVD movie to Nero Digital (to get it onto my iPod, ultimately).

This makes it very difficult to estimate the final size of the MP4 file, as Recode thinks the movie is only 41 minutes long (in the case of Akira, a 2hr film). I usually try to keep my movie files below 650-700MB...

Any ideas why it is getting the length wrong?

    Cheers, folks,

    Ronan.

    Hi all,

I am getting the same problem with incorrect durations being shown on VOB files. If I then us NR2 to encode to AVC format, the video stops at the end of the reported duration.

For example, Battlefield Earth shows a duration of 13 minutes (from a VOB from DVD Decrypter). The VOB will play fine until the end, and NR2 displays the whole video in its preview screen but the resulting AVC file stops video at 13 minutes... the sound continues to the end.

This is also true of many other VOB files, all of which I can play all the way through, but not convert with NR4.

Any ideas please as this has me baffled.
