    well instead of opening recode the changer should prompt the user to reboot the computer, if the change is to take effect?

    had a similar question for imgburn regarding the filter load tool and applying the change

    of course this just assumes that part of the registry changed is not accessed
    by recode without a reboot???????????

    does a log show this option?

      Recode reads the saved registry on an online basis - so the changes for the AEC option takes effect as soon as you restart Nero Recode.

        Which option? Do you mean the AEC option?

        Thinking about it, would showing the current AEC option be a useful feature?

            Not as far as I'm aware. You don't get the option to change it within the programme, so I can't see the coder putting the details in the log file. That said, I could be wrong.
