Nero Recode 2 Issues

Hello all - I'm new to this forum.

Need a little help here -I upgraded from Nero 6.3.1.25 to 6.6.1.15a recently due to a drive issue - more of test than everything. I have used recode a lot and it's worked fine. Now I have Nero Recode 2 (2.2.6.17)and it recodes and burns fine but I cannot playback - it jumps at the menu and if I can get a movie to play it keeps setting the chapters back to chapter 1 everytime it goes to the next chapter. If you try to skip chapter it stops. Some movies just stop after the menu. If I use DVD Shrink - there is no issues - playback is flawless. Any ideas - suggestions?

a lot of times nero gets corrupt and then applying an upgrade only makes it worse, best to run the clean tools and then apply the upgrade as a clean install?

you need a serial number tho?

I ended up upgrading to Nero 7.8.5.0 and Recode 2 works great. Odd this was I tried putting it on my cheapy Dell to see how bloated it was and could not figure out how to "NOT" install a program. I put on my good computer and did the full install - Media Home and all. Then I figured out how to remove programs I did not want and proceeded to do that from the Dell. I rebooted and then
Corrupted or missing "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM"

I ended up having to a complete recovery on the Dell so now I a do not dare to uninstall Nero 7 or any of it's components.

Your thoughts? Maybe just a fluke?
