Having Problems Burning dvd's with Nero

well, i did everything step by step as you told me to

i started the download in safemode, and a message came up saying "download failed. must restart windows"

once it did that, i had a new little bubble say "new dvd drive found" and it looked as if it was loading the external dvd drive on to my computer for the first time

what do you think about this ?

first off, you only update the firmware in safe mode

do you have the files saved in a new folder yet?

the found new hardware is usually a sign that you flashed the firmware

so, do you think i should try burning a dvd to see if it worked?

yes, i created a new folder "flash" on my desktop

then i went into safe mode and opened up that folder and downloaded it

why did it say the download "failed"?

well, it got to about 21% then stopped burning....i think the error was "couldn't perform end of disk" or something like that

well, i went out today and purchased some Verbatim dvd-r's

we don't have fuji dvd's anywhere in town

i tried making a 2 copies of some dvd's

they both were successful, but once i put them in the dvd player to watch them, they were real glitchy. very chopy.

now it won't burn anything. tells me my burner is not availible.
