I wondered if there is a program out there that can do the following, using divx.
The software captures ex. a tv signal, and saves this as "1-pass" data 6000kbit(Should be enough for any kind of signal). While saving this data, it generates the statistical analysis data, that divx generates when using the "2-Pass - First pass" setting.
In this way, after capture is done, you probably have a 7-8 gb file. So you set the average kbit value you want, and then run the "2-pass - Second pass", and the whole operation is complete, and just in the size you need.
Right now i capture the whole thing in divx 6000 kbit 1 pass mode. Afterwards i run the 2-pass operation.. it just seems that the stat thing could be done in realtime... maybe im wrong?
