How to Convert a Movie in 2 parts with Xmpeg ( FlaskMpeg Xis )????

I'm using Xmpeg 4.2, a similiar but better version of FlaskMpeg, and I don't know how i make my conversions in 2 pieces with it.
Ever than i try to make it like FlaskMpeg process, it starts from the beggining of movie. Anyone knows how to do it.

Obviously, you can determine the length of the Xmpeg encoding to be only as long as the first portion of your video file, but then there is no way to tell Xmpeg to start encoding at the middle of your video file. The solution would be to divide your original video file into 2 portion, then Xmpeg them, or, the solution that I used is: encode the whole video file with XMpeg, then use VirtualDub to split them in 2. See Nick's solution page. It is laughingly simple to learn to use VirtualDub to split .avi file, and astonishingly effective. Good luck.

Hi NY92, thanks for your help.... I'm using VirtualDub too, but when I split the movie, his quality is turned down. Can you help with some configuration for high quality movies in 2 CDs??
      Thanks again....

I did not experienced any loss of quality of the splitted .avi files. Make sure that you chose "Direct stream copy" in the Video and Audio pulldown menu. For more details, see Nick's solution pages.

What other tools have you tried for cutting your AVI? Have you tried AVIChop? It might not have many options, but then it's designed to split AVI's, and if that's all you want it's a good tool.
