    DivX format for Pocket DivX

I just wonder what software and what setting should be used in order to encode a DivX movie for use in Pocket DivX? I have tried to use EO video to do this, but the movie was failed to play on Pocket DivX.
Thx in advance for answering my question~

I've had good results with PocketDivx playing Divx 4.11 files on my Casio E125. Here's what I do:

    1. Smartripper to create a VOB file
    2. DVD2AVI to create a project file and decode audio to WAV
    3. VFAPIConv to create a "fake" .avi
    4. VirtualDub to create the final Divx file:
    Open the .avi
Use filters to crop frame (if necessary), resize to 320x177 (for 16x9), brighten 5%, and rotate 90 degrees left.
Set video compression for full processing, Divx 4.11, 2-pass 1st pass, 300kb.
Set audio to .WAV (point to the WAV created by DVD2AVI), full processing, compression mp3 48K/24khz/stereo.
Save as AVI with a new name (what you want the final file to be called).
Go back to video compression, set to 2-pass 2nd pass.
Save as AVI over the file you just created.
You should now have a working Divx file.

    At 300k 2pass video and 48k audio, I get 1.5MB/Minute. At 150K 2pass video and 48k audio I get 1MB/minute.

I'm looking for a way to cut a step or two out of the process. Also, if you have audio sync problems, try VOB2AUDIO to rip the WAV. Check out nickyguides.digital-digest.com for more help.

    Good luck!

    Seth
