Hi there.
I have a lot of movies which exceed the 700 mb ratio for my cd's, so unfortunately I can't burn them. So I started dubbing them to cut video bitrate and all's well and good. Except, I simply can't get my divx calculator to show me what I need!?
I've allready fixed a couple of the movies, but I start out guessing a compression (divx 5.01 by the way) size and usually get it right after a couple of tries. I know it would be a lot easier if I didn't have to guess how much to compress...
That's why I ask you for help, because when I fill in the video length, disk space (700 mb), bitrate sound (usually 128 kbit/sec) and then want it to calculate the video bitrate, it usually shows me something like -280 ! Yup minus... and that can't be rigth.
So either I'm doing something wrong (probably so ) or my calculator (version 1.6) isn't working right. I've scanned the articles but haven't found an answer yet.
I hope you can give me some advice, one way or the other.
Thanks -
