Windows XP

I have Windows xp for my operating system. When I went to install the dixv codes it gave me an error. The software that I was trying to install had not passed windows logo testing to verify it's compatibility with windows xp. If I install it I could mess up my computer, Can Anyone Help? cajunkiddj02@juno.com if you know how thank you

I don't remember ever being asked about this when installing codecs. For hardware drivers, yes. Not codecs.

Anyway, I've never had any problems with codecs under the various flavours of Windows (98 up to XP). They all work perfectly. What codec were you trying to install?
