    divfix 1.07

    I got an avi version of harrypotter that Ive been trying to rebuild the index for.
    but when divfix is done I only get 1min out of the 200mb file insted of an hour.
    The movie in question has an mp43 codec. it was encoded by tmd.
    Its got errors out the arse.
    and I havent been able to open it in v-dub.

    Is there any other programs i could try or another way to make the movie play?

    any advice or suggestions would be appreciated
    thanks

    Give it up - It's either extremely corrupted or a phony...

        "I know its not a phony."

        I gather from your postings here that you're trying to reconstruct the index because you haven't been able to play the file. Plus, you've stated that it won't open under VirtualDub.

        So how have you determined that it's not a fake? perhaps there's only 1 minute and 20 seconds of actual video in this file...

          I did notice while d/l ing it that my speed was a little high for 56k. there was a time when I was getting between 6 an 9 kb/s. when this happens near the end of a transfer its usually okay. but this transfer was erattic from the get go

          this has happend to me before using kazaa and some ftp's. but im usually able to play the file once i rebuild w/ divfix.

              I know its not fake because i started the download from a filehash that has been verified by several different people.

              File:[tmd]harry.potter.and.the.chamber.of.secrets.(uti).cam. (1of2).avi
              Length:213202944 Bytes,208206KB
              UUHash:=yU0GvWUIbN6a7y6O5/CEbwqq36g=

              File:[TMD]Harry.Potter.and.the.Chamber.of.Secrets.(UTi).CAM. (2of2).avi
              Length:200073216 Bytes,195384KB
              UUHash:=Eh//+I7aCzMPeTf16qvbyTFuxuY=

              also prior to the dowloads completion around 20,000kb into it I was able to preview the first few minutes, & thoes minutes are diff than what i now have.

              its like divfix took segments of scenes and put them together in a 1min file.

                This type of substantiation is, at least somewhat meaningful...
