    Cutting with virtual dub

    Hi all, i am having problems cutting the credits off of DIVX movies i have ripped.

    I need to remove the credits to make the DIVX files smaller so they will burn to a 700MB cd, i have a few movies of about 710 mb.

    I have tried following the procedure here:
    Find out how to cut an AVI file into several parts

    but when i play the new file the video seems to be in slow motion and the audo is way out of sync.

    I would aprechiate any help.

    Cheers

    Under VirtualDub make certain of the two following items:

    1) Under "Video", select "Direct Stream Processing". Do likewise for "Audio" (although for "Audio" this should already be the default setting)

    2) Make certain that you are cutting on a keyframe

    Let us know of your success ;>}

      Still no go

      i have double checked that the Direct Stream Copy options are selected and that i am cutting at a keyframe but am still having the same result, video still in slow motion in the new file.

      I'd be greatful for any more help.

          Congratulations on resolving your problem!

          I must tell you, however, that I've performed the same task, as the one you described, using VirtualDub (v.1.4D - because I've seen no need to try the later versions - yet) myriad times, without encountering the problem you described.
