expert help needed divx\svcd still ofsync sound

still can not get it right...

divx to vcd no problem, extract sound with virtual dub and merge with TMPG, good

divx to scvd extact sound and merge still of sync sound.

virtual dub gives mistake vbr to cbr, bla bla

please need advice step by step, I can not get it right.

Well....is the audio VBR or CBR?

it is vbr, mp3 III layer.

Virtual dub will correct the header to cbr

Instead of allowing VirtualDub to convert the audio from VBR to CBR, do the follwoing:

Load your original .AVI into VirtualDub
From the "File" dropdown menu, select "Save WAV" (Enter a new filename with a ".WAV" extender).Click on "OK"
Then set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copying"
Then save the .AVI as a silent .AVI (set "Audio" to "No audio" after you've saved the WAV file)

Load the silent .AVI and the .WAV audio file into TMPGEnc for conversion to VCD or SVCD.

no succes

original file loaded in virtual dub, says improper vbr audio encoding will coverct audio header to cbr. will skew 3065 ms.

did what you sayed.

virtual dub wav then save avi no sound merge with TMPG
sound still of sync. (SVCD)

Load file in VDub

1.Set Audio tab to Full Processing Mode
2.Under Conversion check 44,100Hz
3.Compression : No Compression (PCM)
4.Save WAV...
5.Set Video tab to Direct Stream Copy
6.Set Audio tab to No Audio
7.Save silent .avi

Load both files in TMPGEnc.....

try this perhaps, extract wav uncompressed.
and recompres with constant bit rate encoder to 130 kbs.

but what program can I use best for that.

Is the audio synchronized with the video when you play the original .AVI from BEGINNING to END?

original is ok

the original avi is ok, when I play it

video and sound are 100% in sync.

the only problem is conversion to SVCD.
