i'm using Virtualdub.. and i went through the whole instructions in the website... but the audio doesn't fit the video... the synch is OK and i tried everything and it didn't help!
Did you cut at a keyframe? If not, this could explain your synch issue IN which case re split the file.
The guide also explains a detailed method on synch correction. Try this, with audio and video under "direct stream copy" in the video tab select "Framerate" and then select something like "change audio and video durations so that htey match", click ok and then resave.
Backup the file, and manually change the video/audio framerate until they match using synchronizer....after some experimentation you might come up with the winning combination
1. Load up AVI file in nandub
2. Set both Video and Audio tabs to Direct Stream Copy
3. Under Audio, go to Interleave and input the appropriate value in the 'Delay audio track by x ms' box
4. Go to File -> Save as AVI and give a name to the new file
In the case of the audio gradually getting more and more off-synch from the video, add the following step prior to saving the file:
-. Under Video, go to Frame Rate and select "Change so video and audio durations match (you should see a value similar to the original frame rate).
